This Hungarian variety is named after the parallel cylindrical shape of the grape cluster, like the sheep's tail. What it is known for is that it holds acid very well, which further proves its place in the midst of a climate crisis, as it ripens beautifully and is supported by harmonious svak. Pale yellow in colour, the citrus is the first to appear on the nose, it carries a nice limey note from the Nivegy Valley which is rich on the palate, all this is nicely integrated by the acidity which lingers in the wine. In the glass, the wine swirls slowly on the palate, showing its complexity in a pure, pure wine that belies its youth. An integral part of our organic farming is the harvesting of fully ripe berries, which gives a fuller, more substantial palate.
