Rooted in 8,000 years of uninterrupted winemaking tradition, Teliani Valley is more than a winery—it’s a symbol of Georgia’s soul and identity. Legend says that God, enchanted by the Georgian spirit, gifted them a heaven on earth, rich in vines, fertile soils, and the perfect climate for viticulture. In Georgia, winemaking is not just a craft—it’s part of the national DNA, passed down through generations like a treasured legacy.
Founded in 1997 by two visionary winemakers seeking the freedom to craft authentic Georgian wines, Teliani Valley was born from personal sacrifice, passion, and a dream to revive the original spirit of Georgian winemaking. From the very beginning, the mission was clear: to blend ancient wisdom with modern winemaking techniques and breathe new life into rare and nearly forgotten indigenous grape varieties.
Located in Telavi, in the heart of the Kakheti region, Teliani Valley manages 700 hectares of vineyards. The unique combination of location, soil, and climate allows for a rich spectrum of wines—from bold reds and crisp whites to distinctive amber wines, including traditional Qvevri wines made in clay vessels just as they were thousands of years ago.
Georgia is recognized as the cradle of wine, home to over 500 native grape varieties and a cultural heritage of Qvevri winemaking that dates back to 6,000 BC. Today, Teliani Valley stands at the forefront of this legacy, a beacon of innovation and authenticity, sharing the timeless story of Georgian wine with the world.
