Characteristics
Mantinia wines are typically pale in color, light to medium-bodied, and intensely aromatic. The PDO wines are made almost exclusively from Moschofilero, either as still dry wines or sparkling versions. The still wines are known for their floral bouquet—rose, jasmine, and citrus blossom—combined with bright flavors of lemon, lime, and green apple, often underpinned by a subtle spicy note reminiscent of white pepper or ginger. The acidity is naturally high, giving the wines excellent freshness and aging potential, especially for aromatic whites.
