Characteristics
Nemea’s wines are typically deep red, with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, often accented by spicy and herbal notes. The palate can range from soft and fruit-forward in lighter versions to structured, tannic, and complex in premium high-altitude examples. Acidity is generally moderate, and the best wines have excellent aging potential, developing flavors of dried fruit, leather, and spice over time. Sweet styles made from late-harvest Agiorgitiko display rich, concentrated flavors, while young, lighter wines can be bright and juicy, especially when produced through carbonic maceration.
