Production process: Machine harvesting, rapid processing: destemming and crushing, tank fermentation with cap immersion, controlled fermentation with the addition of species-specific yeast (25–28 °C). Contact time on the skins: 3 weeks, followed by natural malolactic fermentation also in the tank; barrel aging for 5 months in small (225 L) BQ barrels that have been reused multiple times; bottling after clarification and filtration. Color: crystal clear, medium garnet. Aroma: Black fruit notes such as blackberry and black currant, along with a hint of liqueur; subtle hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and coffee can also be detected, derived from the brief barrel aging. Palate: medium-bodied, with rounded tannins and balanced acidity. On the palate, the black fruits (blackberries, currants) are just as noticeable, along with a hint of dark chocolate, coffee, and tobacco from the barrel aging. Easy to drink, well-balanced, with a long finish.

Characteristics
The Zala wine region is predominantly known for its white wines. Although traditionally little wine from the region was bottled, this has changed in recent years. Zala benefits from excellent growing conditions—while summers are warming, acidity levels remain well-preserved compared to other regions. The wines are typically elegant and light-bodied, with vibrant acidity and rich, aromatic profiles, often featuring mineral notes and, at times, a touch of residual sugar. These wines are very approachable young, but those made from low-yielding vines age well and reach their peak after three to four years in bottle, developing greater complexity and depth.
