Goriska Brda, Slovenia
Delicate to medium deep golden yellow colour. The bouquet is more discreet but charming. It offers a blend of fruity notes towards juicy yellow fruits. The woodripening note is discreet, almost imperceptible. It is by no means simple, but it is not overcomplicated either. It is inviting. Dry on the palate, medium-bodied with a pleasant freshness, a good measure of acidity and plenty of flavour with a hint of saltiness. The white cuvée, although not in the light category, is much bolder, but most of the white varieties from Brda region tend to play in the distinctly heavier categories. In this respect, it puts itself in a rather unique position. With a nice, longer decline.
