The grapes used to make our wine were grown near the St. Donatus Chapel on Csobánc Hill. The name "Kápolnás wine" was synonymous with unique, outstanding quality in the Badacsony wine region. Wines grown in the vicinity of the St. Anne Chapel in Badacsony were first labeled as chapel wines by Styrian buyers, who sometimes paid two or three times the price for them. It was no different on the southern side of Csobánc Mountain: for centuries, the prince and the Esterházy counts were the largest and most renowned producers in the immediate vicinity of the chapel.
