Of the well-known international red wine varieties, Merlot is certainly the one that suits the Seewinkel best. Here, the grapes are ripe but not overripe and show their full potential. In contrast to the often overblown reserves, this example scores with the honest quality of a rock-solid Merlot. Less opulent, more dense but also elegant. A wine with lightness and playfulness.
