Zenit is one of our light, popular-style wines, made easily lovable by its freshness and fruitiness. With this varietal, we aim to show that Somló impresses not only with its full-bodied, substantial wines but also with lighter-character wines. The color is clear, reflective, pale straw yellow with faint golden highlights. The wine flows down the sides of the glass in uniform legs, indicating a viscosity slightly above medium. Its clean, medium-intensity aroma reveals ripe yellow apple, hay, gooseberry, and dried mignonette, with a subtle yeasty character also present. On the palate, the sip is dry, with refreshing acidity and a fine citrus character complementing the notes promised by the aroma. The finish is longer than medium, ending with a hint of vanilla sweetness.

Characteristics
Exclusively a white wine region today, known for structured, terroir-driven wines. Wines express the volcanic basalt soils, with distinct salty, flinty, and mineral notes. Oak ageing is common, though typically with used barrels; new barrique is rare. The terroir dominates over grape variety — Somló has a recognisable style across different grapes. High natural acidity is a signature trait, regardless of the grape used. Wines are often dense, complex, and ageworthy, benefitting from several years of bottle ageing. Raisined or botrytised grapes may be included, adding depth and texture. Best served warmer than usual for white wines (14–15°C). Wines from Sás Hill, part of the region, are typically lighter, fruitier, and leaner in style.
